Huntr Review (2026): Free Plan, Pro Pricing, and Refunds

Huntr is a strong choice for people who want to organize and speed up a job search they still run themselves. Its free plan includes unlimited application autofills, and its extension had a large, strongly positive Chrome Web Store record on August 20, 2026. Huntr does not apply to jobs for you. Pro is expensive for a tracker, and its refund conditions deserve attention before you subscribe.

Start with the free plan. Upgrade only if you need frequent AI resume and cover-letter generation or have outgrown the free tracking limits. ApplyAll publishes this review and sells a different kind of service: people review and submit applications on a customer's behalf.

What Huntr does, and what it does not do

Huntr combines a job tracker, resume tools, contact management, and a browser extension. A saved role becomes a card that can hold the job description, salary, location, contacts, notes, tasks, and dates. You move the card through stages such as Wishlist, Applied, Interview, and Offer.

The browser extension can save a posting and autofill an employer's application form from your profile. You still open the form, check every answer, and submit it. No Huntr plan changes that. This distinction matters because autofill saves repetitive typing, while auto-apply removes the repeated submission step.

1. Save a role. The extension clips the posting into your board.
2. Track the process. Notes, contacts, tasks, and interview dates stay with the role.
3. Prepare materials. Huntr can compare a resume with the job description and use AI to generate tailored resumes or cover letters, subject to plan limits.
4. Autofill and review. The extension fills the employer's form, then you correct any mistakes and press submit.

This workflow is most helpful once a search has enough moving parts to become hard to remember. It can prevent duplicate applications and lost follow-ups. For a small number of highly targeted roles, a spreadsheet or notes app may be enough. Huntr's site footer did not identify a legal entity or publish company details as of August 20, 2026, so that part of the business identity remained unclear.

Huntr's pricing page listed these free features:

Unlimited autofill makes the free tier useful on its own. It is also the safest way to evaluate the board, extension, and basic AI output before considering Pro.

Pro plan

Pro removes the tracking and upload caps. It also listed unlimited AI resume generation, cover letters, resume reviews, advanced matching, and advanced resume scoring. There was no free trial of Pro. The free account included complimentary AI credits, which gives you a limited way to sample the output.

The monthly price makes sense only if you use the paid features often. If you mainly need the board and autofill, the free plan already contains the core product. Do not choose a longer billing term until you know how much AI generation you will actually use.

Refund conditions to read before subscribing

Huntr's help-center policy did not promise a standard first-month refund. As captured on August 20, 2026, it said Huntr would consider a refund only after at least two billing periods and when the request was made within three days of the latest charge.

• Refunds would not be processed more than 14 days after the last invoice.
• No more than two invoices could be refunded within a subscription period.
• Accounts showing “signs of high engagement or value gained from the service (regardless of timeframe)” might not qualify.

The practical result is simple: someone who buys one month, tries Pro, and decides it is not useful falls outside the stated two-billing-period condition. The engagement condition also gives Huntr discretion when a customer used the features extensively. A published policy is useful, but these terms are restrictive. Treat the first payment as non-refundable unless Huntr confirms otherwise for your case.

What the available reviews show

The strongest independent signal available for this review was the Chrome Web Store listing for “Huntr - Job Search Tracker & Autofill.” On August 20, 2026, it displayed 4.8 out of 5 from about 1,300 ratings and 90,000 users.

Huntr's homepage had shown 4.9 from more than 1,100 reviews on August 13. The current store listing is the better source for the extension's rating and sample. Both point to broadly positive use of the extension, with the store providing the larger direct measurement.

Third-party write-ups were generally positive about the board and interface. Their recurring criticism was the price, especially when Huntr was considered only as a tracker rather than as a tracker plus AI resume tool. Use Huntr Free if you want a well-established application tracker with unlimited autofill and are comfortable submitting each form yourself. It offers enough functionality to make a paid commitment unnecessary for many job seekers.

Consider Pro only when frequent tailoring and AI generation justify the monthly cost. Use the free AI credits first, then choose the shortest paid term. The refund policy is not a substitute for a trial. If you need applications sourced, reviewed, and submitted for you, Huntr is not designed for that task.
